India's Most Diverse Road Journey

The South India Grand Circuit is the subcontinent's most varied road adventure — threading through ancient Dravidian temple cities, French colonial boulevards, misty Nilgiri hill stations, wild coffee-scented forests, and the grand palace city of Mysore all in one sweeping loop.

Beginning in Chennai — South India's cultural and commercial capital — you travel down the Coromandel Coast to the pastel-painted streets of Pondicherry, once a French enclave. The route then turns inland to Madurai, where the towering gopurams of the Meenakshi Amman Temple dominate the skyline, before climbing into the cool Nilgiri Mountains to Ooty. From there the fragrant coffee and pepper estates of Coorg welcome you before the grand finale in Mysore — home to one of India's most spectacular palaces.

Your private driver navigates every coastal highway, ghat road, and city street with expertise. This is South India at its richest — one road, six destinations, infinite memories.

Travel Tips

Best Time to Visit
October to February is ideal — cool and dry across South India. March–May is hot in the plains but pleasant in Ooty and Coorg. Avoid June–September (heavy monsoon in Kerala, Karnataka, and Coorg).
Temple Dress Code
Cover legs and shoulders at all Dravidian temples. Many large temples (Meenakshi, Brihadeeswarar) require foreigners to buy a camera ticket. Shoes must be removed at all temple entrances.
Mysore Palace Timings
Open daily 10 AM–5:30 PM. The palace illumination (97,000 bulbs) happens every Sunday evening and during Dasara festival — a truly spectacular sight. Arrive at least 30 minutes before lighting time.
Currency & Payments
Carry Indian Rupees (INR) for temple offerings, local markets, and rural areas. UPI and cards are accepted in cities and larger towns. Keep some cash handy for temple towns like Madurai.
