A Kingdom of Colour & Sand

Rajasthan is India's largest state and its most visually dramatic. This Royal Rajasthan circuit connects four of its greatest cities in a single, unforgettable road journey — each with its own colour, character and centuries of royal history.

Begin in Jaipur — the Pink City — with its hilltop forts, painted palaces, and bazaars overflowing with gems, fabrics, and spices. Drive west to Jodhpur — the Blue City — where the sky-blue painted old town clusters beneath the towering walls of Mehrangarh Fort. Continue deep into the Thar Desert to reach Jaisalmer, a golden sandstone city rising from the dunes, where you can spend a night under stars at a desert camp with camel rides and folk music.

The circuit ends in Udaipur — the City of Lakes — arguably India's most romantic city, where white marble palaces float on shimmering lake waters and every rooftop restaurant faces a postcard sunset. Your private car and experienced local driver make navigating Rajasthan's long highways and narrow old-city lanes completely effortless.

Travel Tips

Best Time to Visit
October to February is ideal. March–April is still comfortable. Avoid May–June — Jaisalmer temperatures exceed 45°C. The Desert Festival in February is spectacular (check dates).
Desert Camp Tips
Book your Sam Dunes camp in advance during peak season (Nov–Feb). Carry warm layers — desert nights drop below 10°C. Avoid synthetic fabrics that don't breathe in daytime heat.
Photography
Golden hour in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur is extraordinary — warm light on sandstone and blue walls. The view of Mehrangarh from the clock tower is one of the best photos you'll take in India.
Shopping Tips
Jaipur for gems, block prints, and blue pottery. Jodhpur for antiques and handicrafts. Jaisalmer for camel leather goods and mirror-work textiles. Always bargain politely — expect to pay 40–60% of first quoted price.
